Yossi Arnheim is Principal Flutist with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
He has appeared in many countries around the globe with the IPO as well as soloist with other international orchestras and in recitals and music festivals.
Yossi Arnheim is an active performer of chamber music in diverse settings, involving renowned artists. His broad musical horizons also include Middle Eastern and Arabic music with Sheshbesh, a group of Arab and Jewish musicians. His 14 released CD recordings for international labels feature a variety of styles, from Baroque to World Music.
Arnheim is a major ambassador for music by Israeli composers, and has commissioned and performed flute Concertos, played by the Israel Phil. Orchestra in major concert halls in Europe.
Yossi Arnheim is a flute Professor at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel-Aviv University and at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He regularly gives flute master classes and courses in Germany, in Vienna, in Paris and at leading music schools in the USA, Hungary, the Ukraine, the Netherlands, Korea, and Japan. Arnheim is also member of the leading team for the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra at the Jerusalem Music Centre.
